Fort Mott New Jersey Travel Information

Motel 6 New Jersey

Fort Mott was originally built to protect Philadelphia from enemy invasions after the Civil War. Today, the area has been turned into a state park, with ferry services to Fort Delaware and Fort DuPont, where visitors can watch Civil War reenactments and view the grounds where thousands of Confederate Soldiers died in captivity.

There are hiking trails, and picnicking spots throughout the park, and visitors can cross over into Wilmington, Delaware just across the river, for an extended tour of the region.

Fort Mott State Park is located on New Jersey’s southwestern border, along the Delaware River, near Pennsville, New Jersey.
