For quintessential East Coast casino hot-spot it's hard to beat Atlantic City, the boardwalk edged, beach padded gambling destination of choice for those after slots and coastal sunshine.
Leaf-frocked trees cast lazy shadows over the simple log-hewn walls of the former "Arts and Crafts" style home of Gustav Stickley, a building now set aside, along with the 26 acres it sits on, as a National Historic Landmark. The site, known as Craftsman Farms, is undergoing restoration work to ensure both house and grounds are as close to the way the place looked in the early 20th century as possible, and visitors are welcome to visit both the residence (now the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms) and participate in educational events for a better understanding of Stickley, the man, and his "Arts and Crafts" designs.
