Penguins and alligators might not be typical of the New Jersey coast but visitors to the privately owned Jenkinson's Aquarium can enjoy a glimpse of these and other sea-going species from far flung corners of the world for just the effort of having a wander around the facility's big salt-water tanks. Check out a coral reef, catch a shark or seal feeding and sign your young ones up for Seafari Camp in summer for a more indepth introduction to the wonderful sub-surface world that lurks beneath the waves.
