Spring Lake is a historic seaside town offering upscale eateries, boutiques and shops, as well as gorgeous Victorian style homes and a 2-mile boardwalk. Bed and breakfasts are peppered throughout the village and Spring Lake was named one of the Top Ten Getaways in America, by Travel & Leisure. In the center of town is its namesake lake, with glistening freshwater supplied from underground springs.
At the Historical Society Museum, visitors can learn more about the guided walking tours of the area, and view local history exhibits. Spring Lake is both a relaxing place to get away, and a good spot for surfing on the Monmouth and Remsen Avenue beaches. Fishing, rafting, scuba diving and boating are also available along the beaches.
Spring Lake is located just between the beaches of Belmar and Sea Girt on the Jersey Shore. The Garden State Parkway runs just west of the region, and connects New York and Washington DC to the Jersey Shore. NJ Transit serves the shore by rail and bus making stops in Spring Lake.
